At
the end of World War II the world was divided into two distinct camps-
communism and capitalism. This was
referred to as the Cold War era. Russia
poised a worldwide threat to freedom and it was the duty of the United States
of America to save the world from this evil Anti-Christ threat. The US government engaged in the war on
communism in Korea, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Eastern Europe and South America.
Christian
all across the United States were being told that the godless nation of Russia
was in league with the Anti-Christ and that Mikhail Gorbachev was no doubt the Anti-Christ. Then a terrible thing happened the former
Soviet Union was no more. Russia no
longer posed a military threat to Europe—the Cold War was over and Gorbachev
was no longer in power.
The reason American citizens were told we have
troops in Europe was to defend against an invasion from Russia. Invade what country? Well according to Christian Zionist
preachers--Israel!
Recently,
I was listening to a popular TV preacher talking about how Russia would invade
Israel. For years I have just accepted
this as a fact without searching the scriptures or researching where the idea
that Gog and Tubal were Russia actually came from. So, being inspired to look into the matter
more deeply I set out on the journey to find the scriptural answer to the
question, Will Russia attack Israel? If
they do it will not be for the reasons our End Time “experts” are telling us.
In the book
of Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39 we find the mention of Gog.
38 And the word of the Lord
came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,
the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against
him, 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of
Meshech and Tubal: 4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks
into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and
horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company
with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: 5 Persia,
Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6 Gomer,
and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his
bands: and many people with thee. KJV
It is from this scripture that all the theology concerning
Russia is derived. Many “experts” in the
End Time Prophecy interrupt this scripture this way:

Magog- this is modern day Russia
·
Persia- this is modern Iran
·
Meshech, Tubal and Togarmah- this
region is modern day Turkey
·
Libya- this is modern day Libya
·
Gomer- this is modern day Germany
Over thirty years ago this teaching
was and still seems to be the accepted interpretation of this scripture. Russia was the enemy of the United States and
was viewed as the right hand of Satan—godless communism. Today there are preachers still proclaiming
Russia as the invader of Israel without any scriptural proof.
Russia
is no longer a threat but the US government leaders and the US media continue
to give grief to Russia. From supporting
attacks on Russian minorities in Georgia, funding opposition parties in Russia,
supporting anti-Russian activities in bordering countries, placing
anti-missiles in bordering countries along the western border, maintaining US
troops, missiles and aircraft based in Europe to “protect” against this evil
nation, the US leadership continues fighting Russia. As recently revealed the NSA continues its
Cold War spying on Russian. Russia
poses no military threat so why is the US still acting like the Cold War is
still on? Maybe we are doing the bidding
of another country who doesn’t like Russia.
With
the falling of communism in Russia and the fear of the entire world going “red”
gone, what will now be the “boogeyman” to create fear and paranoia? The US government dislikes the Russian
President Vladimir Putin because he has the courage to stand up against the
direction US government leaders are taking America. Russia is not the problem, Washington
leadership is the problem. How long will
the American people continue to put up with the deceit, lies and loss of
freedom that “keeping America safe” is being pushed on us?
Americans
should be concerned about our government getting in bed with the Muslim
Brotherhood. Although this seems
difficult since most of our government is already in bed with the Zionist. We have two powerful political religions
pulling strings in Washington and the American people are paying the bill for
both groups. How can we give money to
Zionist Israel and to Islamic countries at the same time? Whose side are we really on?
We
support Israel against Iran and Syria and support the elements of the Muslim
Brotherhood to overthrow Egypt, Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan. The US government has been destroying one
nation after another and setting up what looks like puppet regimes for the
Muslim Brotherhood all the while doing the bidding of the Zionist lobby here in
America. My concern is that our elected
leaders have made a pack with two devils and the American people will have to
pay the piper.
So,
should we be concerned about Russia? I
don’t think so. At this point I am in
more agreement with Putin than with Obama.
The American people are suffering from an identity disorder. We cannot separate the personalities that our
government leaders want us to be. Are we
friends with Russian? Then we should stop
the bad mouthing. Are we friends with
Zionist Israel? Then stop funding the
Islamic nations. Are we friends with the
Islamic nations? Then stop supporting
Israel. We should also stop spying on our allies.
We
could all join John Hagee and his Zionist Christians and bring all this to a
quick end. His advice, “The United
States must join Israel in a pre-emptive military strike against Iran to
fulfill God’s plan for both Israel and the West.” What he says we would get out of this is the
Rapture. The elect Christians would
safely be “caught away” while the rest of the world goes through hell and yes
Russia will be destroyed.
As
Christians we should be the peacemakers of the world. Our message is one of repentance and
restoration not chaos and war. Have we
no concern for our Christian brothers and sisters in Egypt, in Syria, in
Nigeria, in Kenya, in North Korea, in China, in Iran, in Iraq, in Sudan, in
Afghanistan, in Israel where ever believers are suffering or are persecuted because
of their faith in Jesus? There are
Christians in the countries many wish us to destroy with our drones and
bombs. Have we no Christian love for the
“household of faith”? My fear is that
the False Prophet of the End Times in among us now and has deceived many into
doing the work of the Anti-Christ.
