"Committee to Study Potential Reorganization of the local governments of Northwest Boone County" 

 

The citizens of Thorntown, Sugar Creek and Washington Township have indicated the desire to manage the Northwest area of Boone County and are requesting a study be done to determine a plan to reorganize the three government subdivisions.  

WHEREAS, the General Assembly of the State of Indiana has enacted legislation codified at the Indiana Code 36-1.5-1-1 et. seq., most commonly referred to as the "Government Modernization Act of 2006", which allows political subdivisions to explore methods to increase efficiency and cooperation amongst themselves towards providing better government for their residents; and 

WHEREAS, Thorntown of Boone County has independently determined that the Government Modernization Act of 2006 affords a unique and timely opportunity for Sugar Creek and Washington Township and Thorntown to jointly study whether there is any potential for effective and cooperative reorganization of the local governance of their jurisdictions to  pass a resolution and appoint three (3) members from each subdivision to a committee to study the potential restructuring of local government within the present geographic boundaries of such presently existing governmental subdivisions; and  

 WHEREAS, the Government Modernization Act of 2006 imposes specific procedures and requirements to be adhered to by such appointed committee members in the discharge of their duties in studying potential reorganization of the local governments of Sugar Creek and Washington Townships and the Town of Thorntown;  

1 NOW, THEREFORE, the appointed committee members are to commence their work upon approval of this resolution. The committee will be guided by the Government Modernization Act of 2006 and this organization Statement: 

 1. NAME. The Committee's official name shall be "Committee to Study Potential Reorganization of the local governments of Northwest Boone County"; also unofficially referred to as "Communities of Northwest Boone County Area for Better Government."  

2. GOAL. The desire and intent of the Committee is to examine potential governmental reorganization in Sugar Creek and WashingtonTownships and the Town of Thorntown bearing in mind at all times the goals of efficiency and cooperation in governance and the objectives of:  

1. maintaining and enhancing the small-town heritage of the Thorntown area; 

2. maintaining and enhancing the need for rural, agrarian areas to peacefully co-exists with residential, commercial, and industrial development within Northwest Boone County towards the end of advancing prudent fiscal Planning and support for required local governmental services;  

3.  maintaining and enhancing the provision of fiscally sound government services within Northwest Boone County, including the following functions and services: 

4.  Infrastructure such as roads, streets, bridges, utilities, sanitary sewers, storm sewers and rural drainage; and 

5. 
   

5.  Planning, zoning, land use and building standards; and 

6. 
   

6. Parks and Recreation; and  

7. 
   

7. Health, safety and welfare services, such as police, fire, EMS, health protection, pollution control and those services presently provided by the Township Trustees; 

8.  and  Other services and functions that may hereafter be deemed desirable or necessary by the associated government units.

 2. COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION. The Committee shall elect a chair and vice-chair and otherwise organize itself into working sub-committees as determined to be necessary by most members. Any working sub-committee so formed may be compromised of interested and appointed residents of Sugar Creek and Washington Townships and the Town of Thorntown, but the chair of any such sub-committee shall be a member of the nine (9) person committee. Further, the Committee may appoint one of its members or some other non-member, as determined by a majority vote of the Committee, to be its secretary.  

3. COMMUNICATION and REPORTING PLAN. The Committee intends to carefully but expeditiously engage in its study to be able to timely report to Sugar Creek and Washington Townships and the Town of Thorntown its findings such that should the legislative bodies of two (2) or more such 3 governments desire to take action on such report those two (2) or more governments might be able to place a referendum for a public vote on the ballot in May 2024. Further, throughout its study, the Committees desire to maintain a website for communicating the status of its study to interested residents.  

 

  

A Changed America

 Have you ever wondered if our country could return to the America we once knew as a kid? As a kid, I was unaware of all the issues children face today. I knew I was a boy and could quickly identify who the girls were. There was no issue with gender identity. I understood the gender roles of boys and girls. Boys were faster and more robust than girls. No one expected girls to outperform boys. All of that has changed. We see boys who want to be girls and girls who want to be boys. 

 I grew up not knowing I had "white privilege." I worked for a neighbor farmer from the age of ten until I graduated from high school. Often the money I earned was given to my parents to help pay the bills. I was never told being white gave me advantages over other races. I picked tomatoes alongside migrant workers, getting paid the same. I wish someone had told me about "white privilege." 

 There was a time when there was a significant difference between the two political parties. Today our two-party system has no political solution since the GOP only occupies the right wing of a shared bird that is forever flying to the left. What does it matter if Republicans are "better than the Democrats!" when they are all part of the same bird? The only difference is the Republicans are moving slower than the Democrats. As George Wallace said in the 1960s, "There is not a dimes worth of difference between the two." 

 Once in America, criminals were held accountable for their crimes. Today, criminals are granted rights and privileges based on perceived grievances denied to them according to some superficial criteria. 

We have watched in recent years where the criminal element in a community destroy the livelihood of hard-working people. Our property and businesses can be closed and seized by elected officials who disagree with our religious or political beliefs. 

 We have watched the history of our country rewritten, distorted, and our historical monuments destroyed by those who hate America. 

In Indiana, we have watched our Republican governor issue mandates and decrees without rational scientific, economic, or legal basis. Moreover, he did not adhere to the same rules he mandated and enforced under the threat of arrest. 

 We have watched mayors punish the law-abiding while cowering before the criminal elements of society. Our judicial system protects the guilty while crushing the innocent with all the power of unjust laws. 

 We have allowed politicians, technocrats, and bureaucrats to censor, marginalize, and ostracize in the public and private spheres for not championing evil as good and good as evil. Our political, judicial, or economic systems have no checks and balances. An unholy alliance between these three segments of society forms a bulwark that allows for no questioning or redress. 

 In Indiana, we watched as our religious Liberty was trampled upon, our churches locked down as "non-essential," and our deeply held convictions were banned as "hate speech." All the while, our Governor considered taverns, liquor stores, and Planned Parenthood as essential. 

 Our families endure never-ending attacks and an uncertain future from the constant upheaval of random interference and overreach. Our children are denied their education, regular interaction with relatives and friends, and every hallmark of childhood itself. Children were denied access to their grandparents, who died alone in hospitals and nursing homes. 

It can be said that we live in a generation where people will love only themselves and money. They are proud and boast about themselves. They abuse others with insults. They will not obey their parents. They are ungrateful and against all that is pleasing to God. They have no love for others and will refuse to forgive anyone. They will talk about others to hurt them and have no self-control. They are cruel and hate what is good. People turn against their friends. They do foolish things without thinking and are so proud of themselves. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure. 

To answer my question, I do not think America will ever return to the country I knew as a boy. We have passed the line in the sand drawn by the Word of God.

The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God. 

 America is currently experiencing the wrath of God, yet many people are clueless. God's wrath can be either active or passive. Let me distinguish between the active and the passive wrath of God. Vivid demonstrations of God's active wrath are seen in the Old Testament and throughout the Book of Revelation. When God unleashes His active wrath, it is stunning and explosive (e.g., fire and brimstone rain down from the sky). However, when God reveals His passive anger, He does not need to do anything but step back and allow us to experience the ultimate self-destructive results of sin. 

We are plagued by angry atheists who are determined to remove every vestige of God from public display.  

 "God is slow to anger." (Joel 2:13). However, when a nation rejects God, He will eventually leave that nation too. America is defiantly shaking its collective fist in the face of God. It is only logical to conclude that God will soon give this nation up to the control of people having depraved, corrupt, and morally worthless minds.  We are dangerously close to being overrun by hell-bound reprobates. 

So, what does a nation look like when it has been given up to people having depraved minds? According to Romans 1:29-31, it is filled with unrighteousness, wickedness, and greed. Further, it is filled with envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. The people are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful. They invent ways of doing evil and are disobedient to their parents. They are senseless, faithless, and heartless and show no mercy. That sounds a lot like the America we see on the daily news. We are getting dangerously close to the climax of God's passive wrath in America. 

It is time for the American Christian to repent and turn to God.

Our Greatest Danger

There is no greater danger than a country run by the Synagogue of Satan. These minions of Satan have misdirected the people with entertainment and sports. It is the politics of Rome. The government hand-outs and the political promises that things will be better have distracted most Americans. They have been deceived into thinking that all is well.

Do not think for one minute that what has happened in the past three years has not been a planned action. The mandated injections, the forced lockdowns, the aggressive government-implemented censorship, the dubious presidential elections, the burning of food processing plants, the derailing of trains, the attacks on the power grid, the BLM-Antifa riots, the drag queen shows for schoolchildren, the crazy focus on gender issues, and glitzy public Jan. 6 show-trials of Congress are no more than random incidents occurring spontaneously during a period of significant social change. They are, in fact, evidence of a stealthily orchestrated operation conducted by agents of the Synagogue of Satan acting on his behalf. We already know that the FBI, the DOJ, and the intel agencies were directly involved in Russiagate –a covert attack on the past president of the United States. So, the question is not "whether" these agencies are actively engaged in other acts of treason but, instead, to what extent these acts impact the lives of ordinary Americans, our politics, and the country. Who are these people, and what is their fate? 

Since the 1960s, what has looked like a dysfunctional government has been a highly organized operation of disinformation carried out by distracting and disingenuous politics by Republicans and Democrats. 

In the past two years, we have witnessed a  government run by rapists, thieves, child abusers, traitors, thugs, and cold-blooded murderers who control the American people through force and oppression.

The people elected by the American people to provide leadership are the greatest threat to our freedoms. These elected officials are a menace to life, liberty, and the well-being of the American public.

The same behind-the-scenes political power remains regardless of which party is in office. They have divided the people of America with gender identity, race, equality, politics, climate, and even health, education, and religious issues. As we are busy fighting each other, there is no hope for a unified front to defeat the tyranny destroying our nation and the world.

The same elected officials have forced us to surrender our freedoms and those of our children and grandchildren to a group of extortionists, money launderers, and professional thieves. Whatever you may think, most elected politicians are no friend to freedom.

You are deceived if you think you can change what is happening in our country. Think briefly about the penalties for civil disobedience, whistleblowing, protesting, and rebellion--jail! You will go to jail if you refuse to pay taxes for government programs you believe are immoral or illegal. You will go to jail if you attempt to overthrow the government—or any agency thereof—because you think it has overstepped its reach. You will go to jail if you attempt to blow the whistle on government misconduct. In some circumstances, if you even try to approach your elected representative to voice your discontent, you can be arrested and jailed.

American voters have elected people who feel superior to the rest of the population. From the moment they took office, these politicians have operated with self-interest. They act not as public servants but as agents of corporations and, in some cases, foreign governments.

When our politicians violate the laws of the Constitution, we no longer have a government "of the people, by the people and for the people."

Most will not understand that we are in a spiritual war will Satan and that he is daily gaining control of every aspect of our lives. The only hope we have is secure our salvation in Jesus Christ. Christians should know we are in spiritual warfare against the Synagogue of Satan and that our weapons are not physical but spiritual. 

If you are content to sit back and watch your reality TV, sports teams, and the political talking heads, you should be ready to accept the consequences of what is happening around you. If you are not content with what is happening, you should take the time to warn your friends and family that judgment is coming, and they should prepare their souls for the coming events.
