In today's Morning Prayer, dated 11/06/2021, we are called to acknowledge the unparalleled greatness of:
Our Father and God. He is the Great Creator, and nothing exists without His divine will. There is no comparison to His mercy, grace, righteousness, and holiness. As we come before Him today, let us pray fervently for America.
Our nation has been given a chance to repent—a chance many have chosen to ignore. Yet those who bear His name seek forgiveness with sincerity. We implore You, Almighty God, to accept us once more. Hear our cries for salvation! When will You turn Your face back towards us? How long must Your anger persist? Instead of sustenance, we have been fed tears; instead of peace, we have become targets of scorn.
Father in Heaven, accept us again with open arms. We call upon Your mercy and grace to restore joy through salvation. Stir the hearts of those who claim Your name so they may rise against the evil that has crept into sacred spaces.
We are troubled by the indifference in our churches toward sin and alarmed by how easily our children are led astray by immoral influences around them—be it the media or misguided teachings. The spiritual blindness among us is stark; America once stood as a beacon for Christianity but now falters in its faithfulness.
As Christians worldwide face persecution for their beliefs in Jesus Christ's testimony—how long until American Christians confront similar trials? Will I stand firm as a witness or falter when tested? Lord, grant me strength through the Holy Spirit's guidance; protect me from daily evils and keep me secure within Your care.
Open the eyes of those who profess Christianity yet fail to see the urgency of the times; embolden those who recognize these signs that herald redemption's approach. Let us not delay in our spiritual awakening, for the time is now.
Thank You, Lord, for extending mercy beyond measure—for providing salvation so that I may commune with You intimately each day anew. May this day draw me closer still under Thy protection while lifting high Thy name above all else—in Jesus' mighty name—Amen!
